Jack's First Christmas!!

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Jack. We celebrated Christmas Eve at our house with the Miller clan, Tiffani, Chris, Ashley and Brody. We made enchiladas and tamales and celebrated with delicous margaritas!

Christmas morning was beautiful with the sun shining and plenty of presents under the tree. Jack must have been a very good boy this year, as Santa brought him loads of gifts! We then ventured down to Hermosa Beach and had a wonderful Christmas dinner with the Chris, Tiffani, Ashley and Brody. Tiffani made a wonderful prime rib that is sure to become a Christmas tradition!

'Tis the Season

Jack has had quite the busy holiday season. From visiting Santa Clause to dressing up as a mini Santa he has truly enjoyed the holiday season....and it's not even over yet;c)

Jack's Aunt Patty and Cousin Leslie came out for a visit all the way from Las Vegas. Jack was so excited to meet his aunt and cousin. He also got to hang out with his other cousins Ashley and Brody!

Jack's First Meal!!

Jack had his first taste of solid foods, rice cereal! At first he was a little leary of the stuff but soon enough he was eating like a champ!!

Getting the Christmas Tree...

It was a cold December night (or at least by L.A. standards;c) when we picked out our first Christmas tree as a family. Jack got all bundled up and helped us pick out the perfect tree!

Jack's First Thanksgiving

Jack enjoyed his first Thanksgiving with his mommy and daddy at home. We had a wonderful turkey feast and enjoyed many football games and naps;c) We have so much to be thankful for this year...a beautiful baby boy, wonderful family and friends, and a warm home filled with lots and lots of love!!

Jack's Road Trip Adventure

Jack went on his first big road trip through California where he met many of his friends and family. His first stop was in San Jose where he met the Nagles and the Daenzers. He had so much fun hangin' with baby Nina who is only six weeks older than him. Gary and Virginia Nagle were so kind to host us at there house and it was great to get caught up with Becky and compare our many "mom" stories.

After spending a few days in San Jose we headed off to Sacramento. While in Sacramento we stayed with the Taylor family, Ashley, Chad, Cade and Cooper. Jack had so much fun playing with the "big boys" Cade and Cooper!

Jack also met a few more of his friends and family while in Sacrameno. He met his cousins, Alexa and Cody along with baby Brayden who is only 5 days older than him!

After visiting Sacramento we headed up to Redding to meet the rest of the family. We stayed with Jack's Great Grandma Morrow and Grandma Mary and Grandpa John came to meet us! We had a fabulous dinner at Aunt Nicci and Uncle Jim's and enjoyed visiting with Aunt Nancy and the rest of the fam;c) While in Redding Molly's 7th grade teacher, Mrs. Burkett, came to visit. It was such a joy to see her and have her meet Jack!

On our way back home we were so lucky to have Grandma Mary come back with us. We made the drive all the way from Redding to Los Angeles in one day! Jack was quite the trooper and was the perfect road trip companion!

Jack's First Halloween

Jack celebrated his first Halloween as a lion, the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz to be exact. Molly went as Dorthy and Allen went as theWizard. It was a little hard finding a Wizard of Oz wizard costume so Allen's costume looked a bit more like a leprechaun costume but it got the point across;c)

Jack attended his first Halloween Party at our friend Pat and Frank's house. He met baby Pierce there who was dressed as the cutest Jack-in-the-Box!

Jack visits Paso Robles

This past Tuesday Jack and Molly drove to Paso Robles to visit Karen and her mom Barbara. It was a beautiful day for a drive up the coast and Jack was the perfect passenger. While in Paso Robles we walked through downtown browsing the boutiques and sampling the local wines.

We also had a wonderful dinner at Ristorante Da Gaetano where Jack had the pleasure of being held and rocked to sleep by the owner, Mr. Gaetano Marsano...

Jack wears shoes!

Jack is getting so big and we realized he is quickly outgrowing some of the adorable shoes he has been given.


The first pair of shoes he tried on were the Vans his Grandma Mary and Grandpa John gave him.




He also loved to dance in the cowboy boots his Grandpa Stone and Rockye gave him!

Jack visits his cousins...

This last Wednesday we made a trip to Hermosa Beach to visit Jack's cousins Ashley and Brody. It was a hot day but we enjoyed going to the pier with Aunt Tiffani for some delicious mexican food!

Jack's First Hike

We took Jack for his first hike to one of our favorite places. Unfortunately the area had been burned by the recent fires. Since it was such a beautiful day we decided to still get out and walk around in the least burned out areas. Hopefully we can find a new place to hike as Jack does enjoy the outdoors!

One Year Anniversary!!

It's hard to believe that our wedding day was only one year ago! A lot has happened since that wonderful day. We celebrated with a nice dinner out at Firefly topped off with cocktail at Casa Vega. Karen came down for the night to watch Jack, it was our first night out alone since Jack's birth!

Road Trip to San Diego...

Jack went on his first road trip to visit some friends and family in San Diego. He did great riding in the car for over two hours, not a peep out of him! While in San Diego he met Emily and her new daughter Ella. Jack and Ella are just four weeks apart and are already becoming fast friends;)

After visiting with Emily and meeting baby Ella we traveled on to Uncle Bill and Aunt Carrie's where Jack met his Great Grandpa Morrow and Cousin Laura. We had such a good time visiting with everyone and Bill and Carrie were the perfect hosts!

On our way back home we stopped at the beach in La Jolla. It was Jack's first trip to the beach and it was such a beautiful day! Hopefully Jack will have many more trips to San Diego and to the beach.
